DSL-Experts Establishes Internet Presence

A new website, DSL-Experts.com, geared toward educating average consumers about DSL and other types of Broadband services made its debut today on the World Wide Web.

The site’s owner, Colin McGrath, was tired of seeing customer “disservice” becoming the norm for Internet Service Providers and decided to do something about it. “DSL-Experts.com is an innovative concept, in that the people you talk to, with maybe two exceptions, have worked as installers. They have a real working knowledge of Broadband products and services, so they don't need to read lines from a script or try to make a sale, they simply explain the product in terms the customer understands,” said Mr. McGrath in a telephone interview.

“We wanted to fill in the gaps, to provide information the other guys do not.” he continued. DSL-Experts.com features some hard to come by information, such as a Broadband Glossary and answers to frequently asked questions on nearly every kind of Broadband service currently available.

“Our Glossary and FAQ’s are intended to be ever expanding. We are always updating, always adding to the content of the Glossary and FAQ's.

Some other useful tools that are readily available at DSL-Experts.com are geared toward PC security, and include tested and approved spyware removers and fully functional Antivirus programs. These programs are always free for individuals to download.

When asked if DSL-Experts.com was also a site where someone could buy service, Mr. McGrath answered, “Yes, it is. The best thing about DSL-Experts.com is that the providers you see listed are carefully chosen after they have been through a meticulous screening process. The have to pass the "Expert" test. "

"This is the same reason,” he continued, “that you might not see some of the bigger Internet Service Providers here. We refuse to sell their services for many reasons, for instance, if their servers are frequently down or they have lousy customer care. We don’t want to be yet another company selling service that we would not use ourselves.”, he said.

To date, DSL-Experts.com has partnered with Covad, New Edge Networks and Speakeasy Broadband providers, as well as Vonage for business Internet telephone service.
